Our Sec 1 Boys are truly beginning to bond in their classes. The ACS spirit is flying high as the echoes of cheers from the various groups resound across the campsite as the groups prepare their cheers and items in anticipation of the campfire later tonight...

Sec 1 Discovery Camp - Day 2 Part 2 - Washout!

The afternoon started after a good lunch and water parade as the weather was extremely hot. Soon after, it rained! See the pictures of the kayaking boys staying in the kayak shed as they stay out of the rain, cheering and having fun, and some boys and teachers making their way up to join their class!

Sec 1 Discovery Camp - Day 2 Part 1 - Bright & Sunny Morning!

The day started out bright and sunny. The boys has assembly and devotions, followed by their first activity of the day. God has blessed us with wonderful, sunny weather for this morning. What you see now is the kayaking and rafting activity which some of the boys went through this morning.

The second half of the day marked the commencement of all the camp activities proper. Spirits are high and the teachers are impressed with what they see of the Sec 1 classes as they began to gel together as a class. Attached are some of the photos of the general obstable stations, abseiling, kayaking, high elements, and most importantly, the smiles of the boys.

Secondary One Discovery Camp - "Beacon of Truth & Light"

9th to 11th January

This is the first camp of a series of camps which every ACS(Barker Road) Boy will attend as part of the ACS(Barker Road) Outdoor Education Programme. In this camp, our boys are encouraged to discover facets of themselves which they have not known, through our very fun and challenging activities. It is also a time when the Form Teachers begin to forge the class identity which will carry them through 2008, a time when friendships are formed and bonds of brotherhood are made...
